Nature-based Remediation


Our mission is to advance research and application of ecological remediation to equitably address pollution, promote public health, provide education and workforce development, and build climate resilience. 

Activities for CAER include:

  1. Conducting scientific research on ecological remediation methods with fungi, plants, and other nature-based solutions to clean up pollution in waste, land, and water.

  2. Supporting communities disproportionately affected by pollution by providing certified training and workforce development as well as accredited education and resources.

  3. Collaborating with community organizations, regulatory agencies, governments, and academic institutions to promote environmental justice.

  4. Advocating for equitable environmental policies and practices at local, state, and national levels.
